Like the Samaritan woman in John 4, we have resigned ourselves to the "wells" of this world to satisfy our thirsty hearts. Never have we expected to find an answer in this stranger Jesus Christ. |

This story in John 4 is more than a woman's story of failed fulfillment; It is also our story. In it, Christ Jesus gives the answer to all her (and our) barriers and excuses, while holding out to us the gift of true satisfaction within.
